24' to 51' Conventional Tillage Implement

Achieve a superior finish with the new Great Plains CT8400 Field Cultivator, engineered for faster operating speeds with greater leveling, weed control, and residue management. This newly-enhanced soil management solution features a generous underframe clearance and shank configuration for exceptional material flow, as well as multiple rear attachment and shank options to customize your finish. Plus, add Implement Command® for greater in-cab convenience and control. Available in rigid and floating hitch models, ranging from 24' to 51'.

3-bar coil tine & hydraulic reel

Provides a medium level of soil finishing, effectively distributing surface residue.

4-bar coil tine

Additional coil tines increase soil finishing and residue distribution.

4-bar spike & hydraulic reel

Residue distribution and levelling, with the firming aspects of a finishing reel.

Featuring 5 rows of staggered ¾" x 14" spikes.

Implement Command® (optional)

Implement Command is available on all sizes to control depth and down pressure on the finishing reel, offering in-cab control at the operator’s fingertips.

Max-Mix™ Shank Pattern

The Max-Mix shank pattern is designed to thoroughly incorporate fertilizer or manure and uniformly distribute residue.

New frame design

The new over/under support tubes on the welded frame provide superior strength with maximum flexibility. The frame offers greater underframe clearance and wider shank spacing for enhanced residue flow.

New robust shank system

The new shank system offers a 210 lb. trip force, making it more durable, while adding stability and enhancing performance. Better shank stability allows the machine to operate at higher speeds. Cast shank mounts improve wear and point loads have been increased to maintain accurate working depth in a wider range of conditions. Optional K-flex spring steel shank mounts (inset) provide 185 lbs. trip force for operation in lighter soils where weed removal and shallow tillage are desired. The spring steel design endures more lateral movement and reduces maintenance.

Two front hitch options

A constant-level hitch (CT8400 models) is standard on Great Plains Field Cultivators. The design keeps the implement level as it is raised and lowered and is ideal for farms with relatively flat fields. For more challenging field conditions, choose the floating hitch option (CT8410 models). It adds maintenance-free caster wheels to the front of the implement and a horizontal pivot at the base of the tongue, enhancing the unit’s flexibility for consistent cultivation, regardless of terrain.
